Development of Sustainability Get Baltic: priorities, goals and results
As part of the EPSO-G group of energy transmission and exchange companies, our concept of sustainability is inseparable from that of the group as a whole. We understand sustainability as the implementation of the transformation of the energy sector, ensuring a balance between environmental, social and economic goals, thus contributing to the creation of a climate-neutral economy.
We are guided by the principle that of sustainability must be integrated into all our activities and processes. We therefore aim to contribute to the overall sustainability of the EPSO-G group by making a contribution commensurate with the size and performance of our company.

Get Baltic has assessed the overall assessment of the sustainability topics relevant to it, involving relevant stakeholders. In 2022 the survey was conducted at the beginning of the year, involved 19 respondents, including Get Baltic’s customers, employees, suppliers, business partners and managers.
The implementation of the principles of sustainable activities in the company is the responsibility of both the company’s management and each member of the team who contributes to change on their own initiative. We coordinate our sustainability activities and goals with the sustainability staff at EPSO-G’s parent company.

In 2021, Get Baltic, together with other companies in the EPSO-G Group, conducted an GHG inventory in accordance with the international GHG Protocol methodology. During the inventory, direct (first level) and indirect (second level) greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the company’s activities and impacts were assessed. Scope 2 emissions are calculated using the market based approach.

The main reasons for the reduction in emissions are the use of green energy in the company’s operations, lower energy consumption in offices due to the impact of COVID-19, as well as lower emissions from transport due to less frequent travel.
This year, Get Baltic is committed to developing and publishing long-term plans for reducing GHG emissions.
