In the GET Baltic gas exchange operating in the Baltic States and Finland, the average gas price in July was 40.62 euros per megawatt-hour (EUR/MWh), which is 2% lower than in June, when the average price was 41.60 EUR/MWh. In July last year, the gas price stood at 37.84 EUR/MWh, which is 7% lower compared to July 2025.
Last month, compared to June, the gas price in the Lithuanian trading area increased by 6% to 41.92 EUR/MWh. In the common Latvian–Estonian market area, the gas price decreased by 5% to 38.64 EUR/MWh, while in Finland it dropped by 12% to 38.97 EUR/MWh. Natural gas prices in individual transactions ranged from 31 to 50 EUR/MWh.
In July, 593 GWh of natural gas were traded on the GET Baltic exchange (compared to 419 GWh in June). More than half of the total volume traded on the exchange – 352 GWh – was purchased in the Lithuanian market area. One-third of the gas, or 164 GWh, was traded in the common Latvian–Estonian market area, while 77 GWh were traded in Finland. A total of 55 exchange participants actively submitted orders, concluding nearly 2.5 thousand transactions.
